Obaidul Quader is now escaping to different countries. He was a prominent Bangladeshi politician and a senior member of the ruling political party, the Awami League. He had been serving as the General Secretary of the Awami League since 2016. Quader was also the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, a key position in the government of Bangladesh. In this role, he oversees major infrastructure projects, including road development, transport systems, and bridges, which were crucial for the country’s growth.
Obaidul Quader is known for his strong stance on various political issues and his role in the modernization and expansion of Bangladesh’s transport infrastructure. He had played an influential part in the government’s efforts to improve road safety and reduce traffic congestion, particularly in Dhaka, the capital city.
His political career had spanned several decades, and he had been an active figure in Bangladeshi politics since the 1970s.
Many Awami League leaders and workers including Obaidul Quader fled the country in the face of the anti-discrimination movement in Bangladesh. He first fled to India. Later moved to Dubai from there.
